Learning at Kiddo’s
Helping children learn, play, explore and grow through meaningful experiences every day.
At Kiddo’s, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, supported and happy.

What Learning Looks Like at Kiddo’s
At Kiddo’s Day Nursery, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), which supports children’s learning and development from birth to five years old.
Our approach combines play, exploration, strong relationships and real-life experiences to help children build confidence, independence and important life skills.
Every child develops differently and our team supports each child at their own pace.

EYFS at Kiddo’s
The Early Years Foundation Stage helps us support children across important areas of development including:
• Communication and Language
• Physical Development
• Personal, Social and Emotional Development
• Literacy
• Mathematics
• Understanding The World
• Expressive Arts and Design
Our practitioners use observations, activities and everyday experiences to support learning naturally.

Learning Through Play
At Kiddo’s, learning happens everywhere.
Children learn through play, curiosity, creativity and exploration.
Whether building towers, painting, reading stories, exploring outdoors or caring for Shaq our nursery tortoise, every experience creates opportunities for learning.
Our team carefully creates activities that are fun, engaging and age appropriate.

Communication & Language
Communication sits at the centre of everything we do.
We support communication by:
• Reading stories every day
• Singing songs and nursery rhymes
• Encouraging conversations
• Introducing new vocabulary
• Supporting listening skills
These experiences help children build confidence and express themselves.

Physical Development
Children develop physically through movement, play and exploration.
We encourage:
• Outdoor play
• Climbing and balancing
• Messy play
Physical development supports confidence, coordination and independence.

Personal, Social & Emotional Development
We believe strong relationships help children feel secure and confident.
Our team supports children to:
• Build friendships
• Understand emotions
• Develop confidence
• Learn independence
• Build resilience
Every child is treated as an individual and supported at their own pace.
